Trump reacts to Joe Rogan's warning about becoming 'monsters' about deportations, without due process

In his interview with ABC News in his 100th day in office, President Donald Trump was asked about one of his greatest supporters that sounds the alarm about his aggressive migrant deportation plan.

Joe Rogan told his audience of millions in his episode of April 17 to “round gang members and send them to El Salvador without the due process” was “dangerous.”

“We have to be careful not to become monsters while fighting monsters,” Rogan said.

Responding to that appointment in an interview with ABC News presenter and the national correspondent Senior Terry Moran on Tuesday, who asked if Rogan was right, Trump said yes.

“Oh, I agree with that hundred percent, yes,” said the president. “We want to be careful. We are careful.”

When asked about the various judicial challenges to deportations and judicial orders that admonish their administration for not following the law, Trump delayed, qualifying those who were deported “criminals.” He said that Venezuelans “criminals now live happy in the United States of America, and we are taking them out.”

“And I was chosen to get them out, and we are taking them out, taking them out quickly, and we are legally taking them out,” he said.

Moran emphasized that “in our country, even the bad guys obtain due process”, but Trump said the situation is different for migrants in the country illegally.

“If people enter our country illegally, there is a different standard. These are illegal. They came illegally,” said the president.

“But they get due process,” said Moran.

“Well, they get a process in which we have to take them out, yes,” Trump said.

The president was asked about the ruling of the United States Supreme Court that ordered the Administration to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego García, a migrant from El Salvador who was deported from Maryland to a notorious prison there due to an “administrative error”, according to the Department of Justice.

Trump claimed that Abrego García was a member of a violent gang, although the judges have said that such claims have not been tested in court by prosecutors in the weeks since he was arrested.

“You could recover it. There is a phone in this desk,” said Moran.

“Could,” Trump said.

“You could pick it up, and with everything …” Moran continued.

“Could,” Trump said again, interrupting Moran.

“… The power of the presidency could call the president of El Salvador and say: ‘Send him back’, right now,” said Moran.

“And if he were the gentleman who says it is, he would,” Trump said. “But he doesn’t.”

When Moran said “the money stops in this office,” Trump replied: “I follow the law. You want the law to follow. If I were the president who just wanted to do something, I would probably keep him right where he is.”

When asked again about the ruling of the Supreme Court, Moran said: “The Supreme Court says what the law is,” Trump said he was elected in November to take energetic measures against illegal immigration.

“Listening. I was chosen to take care of a problem that was, it was, an unpaired error that was committed by a very incompetent man,” Trump said, referring to former President Joe Biden.
